Dr. Carolyn's Story

My path to becoming an acupuncturist began long before my formal training. Through my own experiences navigating chronic health challenges, trauma, and the long search for answers, I came to understand how deeply stress and life experiences shape the nervous system and the body. Those experiences shaped my belief that meaningful healing happens when the whole person is supported with care, patience, and compassion.

Like many of my patients, I explored a wide range of healing approaches before discovering the therapies that truly helped my body begin to regulate and recover. That personal journey continues to shape the way I practice today—with an emphasis on nervous system regulation, trauma-aware care, and treatments that are gentle, collaborative, and deeply respectful of each patient’s pace.

This understanding led me to study acupuncture and Chinese medicine in 2013, along with Reiki and craniosacral therapy. Over the years, my work has evolved into an integrative, trauma-informed approach that blends clinical knowledge with a calm, restorative treatment experience.

Many patients tell me this is the first place they’ve felt truly understood. My intention is to create a space where you can exhale—where you don’t have to explain everything perfectly to be supported. Healing often begins when the body feels safe, listened to, and given the time it needs to rebalance.

I specialize in chronic pain, stress and nervous system regulation, mental and emotional well-being, and women’s health and fertility care. My approach combines empathy with structure, meeting patients where they are while helping them move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and lasting change.

It is a privilege to walk alongside patients as they reconnect with their bodies and rediscover a sense of stability and ease.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my children, creating art and photography, hiking, gardening, and being outdoors whenever possible.
